Beast of The East ?

I regularly attend Indiana Pacers games, and have learned one thing. Miami, New York, and even Atlanta are very good. I really think whoever wins the East wins the ship. The Eastern teams are stacked. I mean the Knicks three years ago would have been crazy good. They have Marcus Camby, Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudamire, Raymond Felton, Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler, Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, Rasheed Wallace, Kenyon Martin, Kurt Thomas, and Steve Novak. That is a good lineup, but as I witnessed the other night in Indy they can suck really bad. They were terrible, I couldn’t believe Amar’e, a player I had loved since I was 10 years old was terrible. He looked like a scrub, the Knicks made the Pacers look like an all-star team.

So really who is the best in the East? I believe Miami is for now, but Miami could get beat by my Bulls or my Pacers. Two players who have elevated their status in the NBA are Lance Stephenson (of the Indiana Pacers) and Jimmy Butler (of the Chicago Bulls). I love watching both play, they are probably the most talented on their teams, but act like they have to prove they are good every night.

Players like Jimmy and Lance make the difference in big games. The Heat don’t have guys like this they have three superstars and that’s it. The Heat may be the best right now, but come playoff time they could lose.

Give me more ideas on topics to write about, and tell your friends about this site.

Back for Good

Hey everyone, I am proud to say I am back and ready to start writing on my blog. It’s been a long time away and I greatly miss it. Thanks for your patience as I get the blog started up again.

NEW SITE

I haven’t been very active on my current sites, Bassketball On My Mind, Basketball in The Swamp, Indiana Legacy, and Real Rap. I am looking forward to launching this new site were I can express all my personal interest such as: movie making, Marvel comics, NFL, NBA, and college football and basketball. I should have the site up in half an hour, when I will post a link to it.

The Laker Train!!

So as the Laker Train continues on its track to a championship, another path is being walked by Dwight Howard. Now the heir to the “original” Superman, Dwight must come to grips with all that has happened. He requested a trade to the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the summer, that obviously didn’t happen so now he is in Los Angeles. Does anyone remember Howard refusing to take the road Shaquille O’Neal took years ago? I sure do! He said he would never do it, but look where he is, he is in Hollywood.

Funny this trade to happen this week as I am currently on vacation here in LA. Two hours ago I walked out on my street next to our house to get something from the car. I had been keeping in tune with all the trade rumors this evening, but I was disappointed to find out the Magic preferred the Rockets offer. I kinda just gave up on it then. So anyway I’m out on the street and I hear this guy yelling, “we got Dwight!!!!!” I was so happy along with the rest of Tinkertown, but I was happy for a different reason.

I am happy cause the drama is over, Dwight left Orlando and everyone is happy now. I am also happy to be rooting for Dwight knowing that he will stay with that team. About the Laker Train, the Lakers look like the best in the West as of now. With a HOF point guard, shooting guard, great defensive small forward, All-Star power forward, and HOF center. The Showtime can start again, just think Nash is Magic, Kobe as James Worthy, and Dwight Howard now playing the backup star role that Kareem played. Why do I like this team? They really are an image of Showtime Lakers.

The Lakers look great, all they need to do is figure out how to get Phil Jackson back and dump Mike Brown. Am I dissing Mike Brown? Of course not. I completely respect Brown and his coaching, but if they could get Phil back it would be great!!

This team = one Championship

USA vs. Australia

With the 2012 Olympics under way both USA men’s and women’s basketball teams continue to flourish as expected, a new task arrives for the women. The task is stopping the twin towers of  Australia, 6′ 8″ Liz Cambage and 6′ 5″ Lauren Jackson. Both ladies are very skilled players, but there size is just untouchable. I watched a bit of their game against China today and I must say I was very impressed. I found my self rooting for the two Aussies as they seemed invincible. All the team has to do is dish it to Lauren or Liz, and they deliver 99.99% of the time. Am I saying that USA will lose? Of course not, I’m just saying that THEY WILL have problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up rooting for Australia on Thursday.

Ideas

As I do start up this blog again, I look to elevate it to a very elite status. If you (my viewers) don’t mind, I would like to receive some ideas from you. I understand that I may not have the greatest ideas, so I am open to other suggestions.
