I see why they call it fantasy basketball, because those teams can get really good. I currently am leading my entire league in almost every category, without the help of the injured A’mare Stoudemire. Lets take a look at my team, The New Boston Celtics.
PG Rajon Rondo
Rondo has been amazing, as of late. He is currently the best fantasy point guard, a steal that I drafted in the third round.
SG Kobe Bryant
Kobe has had a steady start to the season, even though he disappointed me last night with minus six points.
SF LeBron James
King James is unstoppable, can’t say much more.
PF A’mare Stoudemire
Even though he is injured right now, I have expected much from A’mare ever since I traded for him. I am sure he will not disappoint me.
C Emeka Okafor
Emeka started slaying people ever since I got him. I traded for him after he had a few bad games to start the season.
G Stephen Curry
Curry was also traded for when he was injured. It turns out though, that he played the night I got him. Stephen is the beast.
F Marvin Williams
My dad picked up Marv before I had a chance, but later dropped him for Darren Collison. I am so happy to have M-Will, they say he is supposed to have his best season ever. For a guy that was picked before CP3 and D-Will, Marvin will have to average at almost twenty fantasy points a game. He is doing that right now so I think its gonna happen.
UTIL Ray Allen
I traded for Ray Ray along with Okafor and can say that Ray is dead on almost every shot.
UTIL DeAndre Jordan
I was hooked on DeAndre ever since the eight block game. He will be a dominating center in the near future.
UTIL Ricky Rubio
I really didn’t know what to expect from Ricky, but his assists are good enough for me. I was gonna drop him, but after the Miami game, I learned he could also shoot the lights out. He is the closest thing to “Pistol” Pete Maravich, so I want him.
I have already told you of my new fantasy basketball team, but wanted to let you know which star player, I have accquired recently. I made many moves after the draft for an elite power forward, who came as A’mare Stoudamire. I traded DeMarcus Cousins and Brandon Jennings, one hour after the draft, for Chris Bosh. I am a Bosh fan, but decided I needed a person who wasn’t the third option on their team. I had negotiated with Nik, from The News Of Sports, for quite a while, when we finally reached an agreement. I traded him Brandon Roy and Chris Bosh, for Josh Smith and Antwan Jamison. This trade turned out to be a steal for me, as Roy announced his retirement shortly after. I held on to Jamison for a couple of days until I got my friend to give me Roy Hibbert and Tim Duncan for Antwan and his Cavs buddy, Anderson Varejao. As soon as I got Hibbert, I worked a blockbuster deal with my friend, Kiefer. I traded him Corey Magette, Josh Smith, Nene Hilario, and my roll from lunch, for A’mare and DeAndre Jordan. My starting line up is now as follows:
PG Rajon Rondo
SG Kobe Bryant
SF LeBron James
PF A’mare Stoudamire
C Roy Hibbert
I have been working now to gain an elite center, such as Al Jefferson or Dwight Howard, but am getting less and less closer because other owners know that that is setting me up for a championship. The most important thing to remember is that trading is one of the biggest moves you can make in any fantasy game.
Well, you know how I asked about LeBron as my first pick right? Now it became a reality. I just drafted my team and am very excited to kick off my season. Here is my team as of right now with some info on each player.
PG Rajon Rondo
It was easy to pick Rondo. He is an assist machine. After you read about the next two players, you will know why I didn’t need another scorer. I have been looking at Rajon all week as a player and got him with the 23rd pick so I thought it was a pretty good deal.
SG Kobe Bryant
I am normally not a fan of Kobe, but I traded up in the second round to get a scorer to go with my next player. I still think Kobe is a major fantasy threat.
SF LeBron James
PF DeMarcus Cousins
Why I picked Cousins? Simple. Lots of rebounds, lots of points, and a bad team. Any other questions?
C Nene Hilario
I just can’t get enough Nene. He has been one of my favorite players for a long time and still is. You got to choose someone you really like.
That is my team in a nutshell. If you would like to know who is on my bench, just ask on the comments.
Yes, I am playing fantasy basketball. I have the first and second picks in the two leagues I am managing currently (both done by randomizing, I promise) and am very excited about my season. I have decided after a week of studying to go with LeBron James in both picks. “Why?” you might ask. I like to watch LeBron play. I had Kevin Durant last season and was not let down at all. He lead me to a fantasy championship, but I always looked to see how, one of my favorite players, LBJ was doing. I was shocked, James put up fantastic numbers for being on a team with two other fantasy threats. Also, like I said before, I like to watch him play. My fantasy teams are always built around superstars and young talent. Once I have someone on my team, I watch them throughout their season, and when it comes down to KD or LeBron. I am absoulutely gonna pick LeBron all the time. Tell me what you think of this and who you would pick.
Last summer, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost probably two of the most beloved Cleveland sports players in history, LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
Everybody remembers the heart break of the city of Cleveland because of LeBron, but no one was upset about Big-Z leaving. Why weren’t they ticked off by Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ move? They were fine by the move because they love Ilguaskas, they must love him because they are retiring his jersey.
The Cavaliers must not like LeBron as much as they claim they did if they retire Zydrunas’ jersey after he stabs them in the back. Ilgau even went to Miami for the same reason LeBron did, a ring.
LeBron and Dwayne are great friends, but the people in Philips Arena took it too far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARwB2nITu78
I am very sorry, that i didn’t have this out earlier I have been working on my new site “The Time Has Come” lately and this site because I don’t get many replies anymore. Thanks for understanding.
5. Josh Smith and Danny Granger
There are many debates that Josh should be considered a SF or a PF. I think he is so neutural though that he can be considered as both. J-Smooth has one of the greatest leaping abilities of any basketaball player ever. He doesn’t usually dunk with strength, but more with style. He is a great defensive presence and a wonderful shot-blocker. This is why Josh is here at number five.
5. Danny Granger
I just like Danny and Josh so much that I put them both here. Danny is much different than Josh though, Danny isn’t a go dunk kind of guy he is a shoot the lights out kind of guy. Granger has a great shot spot on, great base, and great hands. The one thing about the man hardly anyone has ever heard of is that he is not a franchise player. Danny showed this season that he can put up points, but if the Pacers are gonna be competing against the Chicago Bulls again that they need another star. The star that could petentionally play for Pacers would probably be in this year’s or next year’s free agency market.
4. Paul Pierce
Paul is very similar to Danny, except he does wanna really take it to the basket. Paul Pierce is a huge threat because he can take you to the rack or hit you with his off-form jump-shot. Paul Pierce really turned inot the threat though when he was joined by the rest of the “Green Machine” creating one of the best teams to walk the planet, the Boston Celtics. I would highly desire Paul to any team I might create or manage. Paul also is a great leader, has great veteran isntensity, and can win the championship ring. Paul pierce would be an excellent choice for anybody, except if you are Lakers fan, then you may wanna go with Ron Artest.
3. Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony has always been one of the best small forwards ever since he started his career at Syracuse, but he greatly elevated his status when he and his Denver buddy, Chauncey Billups, got together with Amar’e Stoudamire and the New York Knicks. Ever since that happened Melo has been getting closer and closer to a ring, but fell to the Celtics in the playoffs. Now Carmelo is back again and ready to bring some surious hurt to the now aging Boston Celtics. If Carmelo can handle the Green Foursome than he will be crowned king of Northeastern basketball.
2. Kevin Durant
Oklahoma City small forward, Kevin Durant has been doubted ever since his first high school all-star apperance, but let me tell you this Kevin didn’t listen to it. Kevin knew, even back then, that he would someday be a NBA superstar and that his autograph would be higher-priced every tome he got closer to the NBA Finals. Well now that is true Kevin is one of the best players in the NBA and is great to start a franchise with wether you managing a real team or a fantsay team. Kevin has a great shot, great athletic abilities, and great attitude, but unlike our next option he doesn’t have alot of shiny dunking abilities.
1. LeBron James
When people hear LeBron’s name they thikn that guys is a loser, but LeBron has accomplished almost anything anybody else would want to accomplish. I know that LeBron James will one day have a championship and that, that will not be his only. I know this because He led a team like the Cleveland Cavalaiers, one of the worst teams in the NBA last season to the NBA Finals, that is amazing. The reason he doesn’t have a ring is because of his team not himself. When you are on a team you win and lose as a team. One player is not reason they lost to Dirk, it was the whole team’s fault. Not everyone on the team stood up to their expected position. LeBron is the best player in the NBA rings or no rings. He is athletic, can get on a hot streak, a terrific leader, and is one of the strongest players in the NBA. This is why he would be the key player to my franchise/team and why he would be my top pick at small forward.
Please, don’t cuss me out for liking LeBron.
Make sure to look for my top five picks at shooting guard.
